DCC Danish Architecture and Urban Design
Course content
The course provides an introduction to Danish architecture and urban development over the past 100 years.
In addition to lectures, students work with self-guided excursions between each lecture session. In connection with the lectures, short excursions are also made to nearby buildings and urban spaces, where teaching takes place outdoors. There is also an emphasis on active student participation, with the aim of helping students learn to discuss and analyze architecture and urban spaces.
Last but not least, the course includes two full-day bus trips: one focusing on landscape architecture and urban spaces on Zealand, and one focusing on residential architecture. The latter trip includes visits to Nordhavn, Sydhavn, and Bo01 in Malmö.
