Course content
The course provides an introduction to the demotic script and grammar followed by text reading, first in standardized writing and then original scripts based on photographs.

Recommended prerequisites
Students are expected to have a basic reading knowledge of English, French and German. It is an advantage also to have taken Late Egyptian.
Mandatory
formal requirements for course registration
Students must already have a good knowledge of Middle Egyptian grammar and text-reading experience at a level corresponding to a BA degree.
