Course content
A elective study in a relevant academic area for Animal Science or Veterinary Medicine.
MSc in Animal Science - elective study
BSc in Animal Science/Husdyrvidenskab - elective study
MSc in Veterinary Medicine - "Alternativ differentiering" (Only one Project outside the course scope 2,5 ECTS, 5 ECTS or 7,5 ECTS).
A student who has completed a project outside the course scope valued has acquired:
Knowledge:
- The academic area.
- The context in which the assignment is positioned.
- The relationship between problem formulation and problem analysis within a given academic framework.
Skills:
- Present a clear, unambiguous problem formulation and communicate the consideration of same in a clear, straightforward manner.
- Evaluate alternative methodological/theoretical approaches to dealing with the problem formulation.
- Search for information independently.
Competences:
- Reflect on an issue and put it into perspective in relation to other issues within the subject area in question.
- Demonstrate independence in solving the assignment.
Projects outside the course scope may be completed individually or by groups of up to 4 students.
This course is not available for credit transfer students and other external students.

Requirements for individualization of written assignments means that the student must account for the students who have been the main responsibility for which section. This division must follow a meaningful division of the assignment, e.g. in sections and subsections. Up to 1/3 of the assignment may be prepared with collective responsibility, which obviously can include the introduction and conclusion.
The page limit and required format of the project report are as follows:
Maximum 20 A4-pages for one student and 30 A4-pages for group report (excluding front page, table of contents, references and appendices).
Times New Roman, font 12 (or equivalent) and 2.5 cm margins all around

ChatGPT or another LLM is a source which means that the same requirements applies for using quotation marks and source referencing as with all other sources. Otherwise, it will be a case of plagiarism.
Any use of ChatGPT must be indicated in the methodology section.
